The Elf on the Shelf flies to the North Pole each night to report to Santa, then lands in a different spot in the house each morning. And this morning, Elfie.had.not.moved. I assured Maddie and John David that, certainly, the reason was that Elfie and the tooth fairy did, indeed, have a mid-air collision, or at best saw one another, and Elfie decided two nights in a row of running into the fairy was just a bit much. So he stayed put…in the comfort of the stocking where he landed yesterday morning. Whew. Dodged that bullet. I may need a sticky note by my toothbrush.
With all the teeth lost here this week, my mom reminded me of this adorable book the kids have, called Andrew’s Loose Tooth. A cute, funny story about a boy named Andrew who cannot find a way to pull his loose tooth…and the tooth fairy to the rescue! The perfect bedtime story on the nights the tooth fairy is due to visit your house!
We had such a fun time today at John David’s field trip to a tree farm…more on that tomorrow. Happy Hump Day!

Hilarious that you mentioned this because the kids that I nanny were very quick to tell me today about Elf on the Shelf when they got in the car from school today. I found it amusing. We also used it as a behavior tool….”Elf on the Shelf is watching you and is reporting to Santa tonight so you’d better hand over that Wii remote to your sister and share.” 🙂
Fun times! I’d never heard of the book or Elf on the Shelf before.
