Linking today again to Kelly’s Korner for Show Us Your Life Friday. Today the feature is your book list.
I love to keep a book going, although my selections are staring at me from my bedside table begging to be opened. Reading is the great escape!
I’ve recently finished Choosing to See by Mary Beth Chapman.
Be forewarned that Mary Beth’s story tells of the deepest kind of heartache and loss; it is also a story of great hope and the promise of our heavenly home. Mary Beth shares the tragedy of losing her precious Maria, and ties it into the bigger story that God has been and is still writing through her life. You will feel like you are friends by the end of the book. Mary Beth is an ordinary woman just like you and me, but God has done extraordinary things in her life simply because she has chosen to trust Him. Worth reading again.
The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton
I have just started this fiction book, and it comes highly recommended by the voracious readers in my life!
Sacred Parenting by Gary Thomas
This just arrived in my mailbox last week. Highly recommended by a friend I trust inherently. While I haven’t delved into this one yet, I’ll tell you this book it’s not a “how-to” book on parenting. It focuses on how God uses parenting to change us. Wow! Can I relate to that idea! Every.Single.Day.
Water for Elephants
Have you read this one? The movie releases this month, so I’m starting this soon. Can’t see the movie before the book!
What is on your reading list?

I’ve just written a post on my current reads – I love books far too much! I should check out ‘Water For Elephants’, I think – I hate to not read a book before seeing the movie!

I loved “Choosing to SEE” too. It was a great story. I was reading One Thousand Gifts, but honestly got bored with it about half way through. And I started Sun Stand Still by Steven Furtick and haven’t finished it yet. I just downloaded Craig Groeschel’s new book, Weird because Normal isn’t Working, but I have only read like the first 2 pages. 😀

I read “Water for Elephants” some time ago. I liked it and will definitely see the movie. I just finished a book about a blind, autistic music savant, Rex Lewis-Clack. Written by his mother, it was a tough read but very touching.

Loved Water for Elephants! I also read Choosing to See. . . gut wrenching to say the least. I definitely want to read Sacred Parenting.
