Tuesday marked the beginning of the 2011-2012 school year for our kids. As always, it is a bittersweet day for mama’s around the world! A slice of peace, yet missing our babies after having them with us all summer!
My 5th grader and 2nd grader!
Lainey is missing them somethin’ awful this week. By 11am, she is ready to have the big kids home. Bless her. She does not like to be alone…ever. Anytime.
We are looking forward to seeing what God does in the lives of our kids this year! Maddie’s last year as an elementary student and John David turning 8!
Where has the time gone? Not too long ago, I viewed the mama’s with fifth graders as wise old sages. Now I’m one of them…a fifth grade mama, that is. I only wish I was the wise old sage.
Whether you’ve recently sent your kids off to school or are starting a fresh year of homeschooling, blessings to you and yours!

Sweet pictures. Our Jonathan is entering 10th grade and our David is entering 5th. I am loving having a teenager, but am very emotional knowing he won’t be in our home much longer. I thought they would stay toddlers forever. I was noticing you named your son John David and that caught my eye. 🙂

Such great pictures! I hope they have a great year. I will have a 6th and 3rd grader this year and Lily is starting Kindergarten. Mine start on Monday. I’m looking forward to it all, but more nervous this year….I guess just because having 3 in school seems like a lot! Ha!

We started Monday (homeschooling) with Kiddo’s 7th grade year. It just seems like last year we were starting first grade! Oh, how the time flies!
