A couple of times a year, I post a reminder about this precious family tradition, The Hidden Cupcake!
On the morning of a birthday in your house, set the empty cupcake out at the breakfast table. While the birthday girl or boy goes about his/her day, the cupcake is filled with treats and is hidden in a secret place!
John David’s birthday was last week, and I filled it with simple baseball cards and chocolate gold coins. Other ideas for filling the cupcake are gift cards for ice cream or Itunes, money, jewelry, hair accessories, Matchbox cars, or candy!
The hunt for the cupcake is the best part!
The Hidden Cupcake can be purchased at Hobby Lobby in the birthday decoration aisle. Pull up the weekly coupon on your phone while you are in the store, and you can get this little guy for less than $10!
Be sure to pick one up before the next birthday rolls around in your house!
