If you attended summer camp as a child or have a child who is a camper, you know how tickled kids are to get care packages and treats while away from home!
My oldest child has been an overnight camper for a couple of years now, and each year, I send fun, personalized items for her to open each day while at camp. I posted this list of summer camp gifts last year.
Listed below are items to send with your child or to pack in care packages. I’ve gathered these from different sources across the web. While most of these camp gifts are geared toward girls, several can be for boys.
Customize these adorable pillow cases with your child’s name or camp name. These pillow cases come with a Sharpie pen for autographs.
This caddy features a waterproof liner and holes for drainage at the bottom. Gotta Great Gift has several cute patterns of this item!
Step out of the camp shower in style!
A few more goodies from around the web I have my eye on or have given to Maddie in the past…
Love these! Choose camp colors, school colors, or your child’s favorite colors! Click the link to visit Kyndall’s Etsy store and to see your options!
Mad Libs
Perfect for rainy days, rest time, and free time! Check your local stores for Word Searches, CrossWord Puzzles, or Maze books, depending on what your child prefers!
Favorite Candy!
Just remember to pack heat-resistant candy:)
Other ideas to place in camp care packages…glow sticks, flashlight, playing cards, cute pens, hair accessories, disposable camera, flavored lip balm, or individual-sized crackers and cookies.

My kids (13 & 15) go out of state to Church camp each year. The adults in our church “draw names” and each female gets a female teen and males get a male teen. They are in charge of making a small bag for each camper each day. They include a Bible verse each day, a non melting candy each day, and a small treat. Since they are teens, some of them included emery boards, a deck of cards, lip balm, etc. The man who drew my son last year even sent a teen boy joke of the day. My son loved them. Each adult is also charged with praying for that camper while they are at camp. This has led to friendships between adults and teens in our Church that may not have happened without this. As a mom, it is nice to know others are praying for my kids,
