Can you believe it is already December the 10th? If you are like me, you have more than a few a few gifts left to purchase and are running out of time. Gift-giving can be a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be. Let me share with you one Holiday gift idea that may fit the bill for those hard-to-buy-for, those who have everything, or family and friends who live out-of-state. Petit Jean Meats has a variety of gift boxes to suit anyone’s taste!
Whether you live in Arkansas and are buying for someone around the state or need a gift item shipped out-of-state, Petit Jean Meats offers the perfect taste of Arkansas! We just received this Deluxe Gift Box which contains a 3.5 lb smoked ham, Arkansas-style smoked sausage, Hickory Smoked Bacon, and Summer Sausage. Petit Jean’s gift boxes arrive right at your doorstep in a cooler box ready to freeze or eat. Simple!
I am not being paid to say this…Petit Jean bacon is hands-down the very best bacon we have ever eaten! Long before I agreed to blog for Petit Jean Meats, we were enjoying their products, and I love supporting an Arkansas-based, family-owned company.
We are saving our goodies to use in recipes around Christmastime. Here are a few that I have in mind:
Ham Tettrazini using leftover ham

Hey Amanda! Love your blog! And I love petit jean meats! As for a favorite holiday food, I love the shoepeg corn casserole and a sweet potato casserole (with brown sugar and pecans as the topping). Yummy! Can’t wait to eat these in a couple of weeks at my mom’s house.

Kristy,
My favorite is Shoepeg Corn Casserole, too! Plus dressing, of course:) The only time of the year I eat both. Hope you are well. Love, AB

OK, I have to enter this just because we had to cart Petit Jean bacon all the way to Colorado Springs back in September for my brother-in-law, who is stationed there at Fort Carson. He’ll be the recipient of the gift if I win.
My favorite holiday food is my mom’s super-cheesey scalloped potatoes. She can bring me an entire casserole dish of them, and I’ll eat every bit myself.

Mmmm, Petit Jean Pepper-Cured Bacon for some rockin’ BLTs (or BL’s in my case because I hate “T” lol) My favorite holiday thing-to-be-consumed is Pennsylvania Dutch Egg Nog — you can only get it from October or November until the stores run out. It is very strong (a little goes a looooong way) but it’s so good! (it’s alcoholic, so it is definitely an Adults Only beverage!). As for food, my favorite holiday food is…man…I love those chocolate covered/white chocolate covered pretzels because I don’t eat them any other time of year. 🙂
