Spray a 9×13 baking dish with Pam. Roll out 1 can of crescent rolls into dish. It should fit perfectly in the 9×13 pan, as shown above.
Spread cream cheese mixture onto entire surface of rolled-out crescent rolls.
Roll second can of crescent rolls out atop the cream cheese mixture, as shown above.
Melt butter and pour over all.
Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture over entire surface.
Bake at 350 degrees for 27 minutes.
Allow Sopapilla Cheesecake to cool completely before cutting into squares for serving.
Store leftovers in fridge. Microwave refrigerated pieces for a few seconds to serve.
Enjoy!

In North Carolina, this is called Baptist Sugar Cake. It’s been around for years in competition with Moravian Sugar Cake.

oh wow that is pretty easy and I think I have all the ingredients. Looks like a great dessert for Valentines day. I could use a little re food color in the cream-cheese for a pink color filling and sprinkle pink or red sugar sprinkles on top. Yummy
Thanks for inspiration
